Championship consultant Munir Tijjani has expressed strong confidence in Nigeria’s readiness to host the 2026 All Africa Challenge Trophy (AACT). He praised government support and cooperation among key stakeholders as preparations enter their final stretch.
With just 11 days remaining before the continental women’s golf showpiece tees off, Tijjani noted that various organizing bodies and partners are working in harmony. He emphasized that the primary goal is to deliver a smooth and memorable tournament.
The event will take place from November 2 to 7 at the IBB International Golf and Country Club in Abuja. Organizers expect approximately 30 African countries to participate in the prestigious competition.
This edition marks the third time Nigeria will host the championship. The nation previously hosted the tournament in 1996 at Ikoyi Club 1938 in Lagos, and later in 2010 at the IBB International Golf and Country Club.
Organized under the slogan "Uniting Africa through the Greens," the championship aims to boost women’s golf across the continent. It also seeks to foster cultural exchange, enhance tourism, and strengthen sports diplomacy among African nations.
