Meanwhile, Group B saw an even stronger performance from Ugo Fleurot, who amassed 1,546 points, finishing six points ahead of two-time world champion Valentin Belaud. These results underscored France’s strong adaptation to the new Modern Pentathlon format, which now includes the Obstacle discipline for the first time.

In Group B, Matej Lukes of Czechia also impressed, finishing in third place. The day also marked a historic moment with the introduction of the first-ever Fencing Seeding Round for women, determining the direct elimination order for the upcoming Semi-finals and Finals.
Teen sensation Farida Khalil of Egypt continued to shine in the Fencing Seeding Round, achieving 24 victories with only six defeats, earning her the top seed in Semi-final A. In Semi-final B, the honor went to Paris 2024 Olympic champion Michelle Gulyas of Hungary, who secured 22 wins against 10 losses.
