Deon Germishuys Holds One-Shot Lead at Stella Artois Players Championship

Deon Germishuys will enter Saturday with a one-shot advantage at the Stella Artois Players Championship at Randpark Golf Club, a tournament set to challenge every competitor in the field. Germishuys carded a second-round 66, moving to 12 under par, despite a double-bogey on his scorecard.

Trailing closely is Karabo Mokoena, who posted a 69 to reach 11 under, while Oliver Bekker and Pieter Moolman are tied at 10 under after impressive second rounds of 65. With adverse weather forecasted for Sunday, tournament officials have scheduled both the third and fourth rounds to be played on Saturday, turning the day into a demanding 36-hole test.

The South African has been in strong form on the greens over the first two rounds, putting well and demonstrating solid driving and iron play as he aims to add to his two Sunshine Tour victories.

Mokoena, who led after the opening round, maintained his contention with a steady second round, dropping just one shot to stay within striking distance of Germishuys. With two rounds scheduled in a single day, the stage is set for an intense finish at Randpark.
