Celtic icons Sir Kenny Dalglish, Scott Brown and Ryan Christie will team up with Ryder Cup stars during the Pro-Am event ahead of the Genesis Scottish Open at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick.
The trio will take part in the traditional 18-hole Pro-Am, which brings together professional golfers, former athletes and celebrity guests before the tournament officially begins.
For the opening nine holes, the former Celtic players will be partnered by Irish golfer Shane Lowry, one of Europe's Ryder Cup heroes. Lowry played a crucial role in Europe's victory over the United States, holing the decisive putt that helped Luke Donald's side retain the trophy.
After the turn, English golfer Tyrrell Hatton will replace Lowry for the closing nine holes. Hatton also featured in Europe's successful Ryder Cup campaign, securing the half-point that confirmed the team's victory.
Dalglish is expected to attract significant attention from spectators. The Celtic and Liverpool legend recently revealed he is undergoing treatment for cancer but remains an enthusiastic golfer and a popular figure in Scottish sport. During his distinguished football career, he won numerous honours with Celtic before becoming one of Liverpool's greatest-ever players and managers.
Former Celtic captain Scott Brown returns to the Scottish Open Pro-Am after appearing in last year's event. Brown enjoyed a trophy-laden 14-year spell at Celtic, winning multiple Scottish Premiership titles, Scottish Cups and League Cups before moving into management.
Ryan Christie also joins the group after another successful season with Bournemouth and Scotland. The midfielder won three league titles and several domestic cup competitions during his time at Celtic before establishing himself in the English Premier League.
Several Scotland internationals, including John McGinn and Scott McTominay, have previously featured in the Scottish Open Pro-Am, although neither is taking part this year.
The Genesis Scottish Open begins on Thursday with a world-class field competing for a prize fund of nine million dollars. World number one Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are among the leading attractions, while defending champion Bob MacIntyre will aim to claim a second Scottish Open title on home soil.
The Pro-Am traditionally serves as the final preparation for players before tournament action begins and is expected to draw large galleries eager to watch golf stars alongside some of Scotland's most celebrated football figures.
