Bryson DeChambeau has confirmed he will remain with LIV Golf, despite growing uncertainty surrounding the future of the Saudi-backed tour. The two-time major champion says he remains committed to helping the league stabilise and continue developing as questions persist over its long-term funding.
Recent reports suggested that Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund (PIF), which has heavily supported LIV Golf since its launch, may reduce or withdraw financial backing in the coming years. That speculation has raised concerns within professional golf about the tour’s sustainability beyond the current season.
Despite these doubts, LIV Golf officials insist that operations remain unaffected, and DeChambeau has echoed a similar message. The 32-year-old American, one of the league’s most high-profile players, said he believes in the project and its long-term vision, even as contract discussions continue ahead of the expiry of his current deal.
DeChambeau explained that he feels a responsibility to contribute to the league’s growth, noting that challenges are expected in a relatively new sporting structure. He emphasised that LIV’s team-based format still has value and potential, and said he is focused on helping it succeed rather than stepping away.
Since joining LIV Golf in 2022, DeChambeau has remained one of its biggest stars and a key figure in promoting the breakaway circuit. While speculation continues about the future of several top players and the league itself, he has made it clear that his immediate focus is on stability and progress within LIV.
