The Cleveland Browns defensive unit is undergoing a massive transitional phase following one of the most stunning blockbuster trades in recent NFL history. Cleveland shocked the sporting world by trading two-time Defensive Player of the Year Myles Garrett to the Los Angeles Rams. Verse joins a highly disciplined Cleveland defensive unit that finished third in opponent passing yards and fourth in total yards allowed last year. The Browns will kick off their 2026 NFL regular season campaign with a road fixture against the Jacksonville Jaguars on September 13.
