Posted : 20 January 2026

The ICC Under-19 Men’s Cricket World Cup 2026 continued on Tuesday with a full slate of group-stage matches across Namibia and Zimbabwe. Day 6 saw remarkable performances that highlighted the tournament’s rising cricket talents and kept fans on the edge of their seats.

In Windhoek, defending champions Australia put on a spectacular display, overwhelming Japan in a one-sided contest. Australian opener Will Malajczuk lit up the game with a blazing century, reaching 102 runs off just 55 balls—setting a new record for the fastest hundred in Under-19 World Cup history. Australia comfortably chased down Japan’s total of 202, finishing at 204 for 2 in less than 30 overs, securing a dominant eight-wicket win.

Other group-stage fixtures also delivered excitement. South Africa crushed Tanzania by 329 runs in Windhoek, powered by commanding centuries from Jason Rowles and Muhammad Bulbulia. Sri Lanka registered a convincing 106-run win over Ireland, anchored by their captain Vimath Dinsara. Meanwhile, in Harare, Pakistan beat Scotland by six wickets, with Ali Raza taking four key wickets to guide his side to victory.

As teams compete for valuable points and favorable net run rates, the tournament standings are beginning to take shape ahead of the Super Six stage. With matches spread across iconic venues in Windhoek, Harare, Bulawayo, and Namibia’s high-performance grounds, the competition continues to highlight the world’s emerging cricket stars.
