Augustine Nabueze Clinches Victory at Seventh OBJ Golf Tournament

Augustine Nabueze delivered a commanding performance to win the seventh edition of the OBJ Golf Tournament, sponsored by First Bank of Nigeria Limited. The tournament was held at the Abeokuta Golf Club on Saturday, June 14, 2025.

From the opening tee shot to the final putt, Nabueze maintained a consistent and impressive lead, securing his place as the tournament’s overall winner. His triumph came in a highly competitive field that featured more than 140 amateur and professional golfers from across Nigeria.

This year’s edition of the tournament marked another milestone in the growing legacy of the OBJ Golf Tournament, established in 2015 to honour the contributions of former Nigerian President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. Since its inception, the event has evolved into one of the most respected and anticipated fixtures in Nigeria’s golfing calendar.
