The 2026 Ardova Handball Premier League will return to Lagos from Nov. 6 to 21, with the country’s leading clubs set to battle for honours in the men’s and women’s categories.
The ninth consecutive edition of the premier domestic competition will be staged at the Indoor Sports Hall of the National Institute for Sports (NIS), Surulere, and Rowe Park Sports Complex, Alagomeji, Yaba.
The tournament follows the renewal of the partnership between Ardova PLC and the Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) for another three years.
The agreement ensures the competition will continue under the Ardova Handball Premier League name, further consolidating a partnership that has supported the development of handball in Nigeria.
Safety Shooters of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) will defend the men’s title, having secured their third league crown last season.
In the women’s category, seven-time champions Safety Babes will seek to extend their dominance after winning an unprecedented fifth consecutive title last season.
Safety Babes have also maintained an unbeaten league record dating back to the 2022 season.
The Ardova Handball Premier League remains Nigeria’s top domestic handball competition, offering clubs and players a platform to compete at the highest level while providing opportunities for talent discovery and development.
With Lagos hosting the 2026 edition, attention will now turn to the participating teams as they begin preparations for another intense battle for domestic supremacy.
