Day 2 of the 2026 National U-12/15 Handball Championship in Umuahia delivered commanding performances, with hosts Abia emerging as a dominant force while Kwara and C&S stamped their authority across multiple categories.

Backed by vocal home support, Abia showcased their strength, particularly in the female divisions. After watching Nuela open the day with a composed 19–12 victory over Girl Child in the U-12 category, the hosts took centre stage. Abia overwhelmed Girl Child 29–5 in a one-sided encounter, demonstrating sharp attacking play and solid defensive structure.

The dominance continued in the U-15 female category, where Abia delivered one of the most emphatic results of the day, thrashing Girl Child 48–9.

Their pace, coordination, and clinical finishing left little room for resistance, further establishing them as a team to beat.

In the male categories, C&S and Kwara ensured the spotlight was shared. C&S impressed early in the U-12 division, defeating Niger 21–11 with a disciplined and efficient display.
