Raul Fernandez produced a commanding performance at Silverstone on Sunday to secure his first MotoGP victory of the 2026 season and the second Grand Prix win of his career. The Trackhouse Racing rider bounced back impressively from his Saturday Sprint crash by taking control at the opening corner and never surrendering the lead.
Fernandez crossed the finish line 2.54 seconds clear of Jorge Martin, while Marco Bezzecchi completed an all-Aprilia podium in third. His victory also extended Silverstone's remarkable streak to 12 consecutive British Grands Prix won by different riders.
Martin, the championship leader, recovered strongly after a ride-height device issue at Turn 1 disrupted his start. He eventually moved into second and now holds a 31-point advantage in the title standings, while Bezzecchi's podium finish moved him into second overall.
Alex Marquez was the leading Ducati rider in fourth, followed by Pedro Acosta and Fabio Di Giannantonio. Marc Marquez endured a difficult afternoon in seventh and sits 40 points behind Martin in the championship battle.
South Africa's Brad Binder continued his steady progress by finishing eighth for his first run of back-to-back top-10 results this season. Luca Marini was Honda's highest finisher in ninth, while Diogo Moreira completed the top 10.
