Isack Hadjar Promoted to RB for 2025 Season, Joining Yuki Tsunoda

Red Bull has promoted 20-year-old Isack Hadjar to their feeder team, RB, where he will partner Yuki Tsunoda for the 2025 season. Hadjar takes the seat previously held by Liam Lawson, who has been moved up to replace Sergio Perez at Red Bull alongside Max Verstappen. The young French driver, who was born in Paris to an Algerian family, expressed his excitement, saying this opportunity was a significant moment for him, his family, and his supporters.

 

Hadjar's promotion comes after an impressive season in Formula 2, where he finished as the runner-up in the championship. Reflecting on his career journey, Hadjar described reaching Formula 1 as the culmination of years of hard work, from karting to single-seaters, and called it a lifelong dream come true. His rise through the ranks has been closely watched by Red Bull, who see great potential in the rookie.

 

RB team principal Laurent Mekies expressed enthusiasm about welcoming Hadjar to the team, highlighting the fresh dynamic he will bring alongside Tsunoda. Mekies also praised Hadjar for his talent and determination, stating that the team has full confidence in his ability to adapt quickly and make a meaningful contribution at the highest level of motorsport.
