Hamilton's Ferrari Debut: A Dream Come True at Fiorano Test Circuit

Lewis Hamilton experienced a significant milestone in his career on Wednesday, driving a Ferrari Formula One car for the first time at the team's Fiorano test circuit.

 

The seven-time world champion, who left Mercedes after 12 years of success to join the iconic Italian team, admitted that the experience was one of the best feelings of his life.

 

Hamilton, 40, had previously achieved many career firsts, but this moment stood out as particularly special.

 

During the foggy morning session, Hamilton was dressed in Ferrari’s classic red overalls and a yellow helmet, quickly becoming the center of attention.

 

Groups of Ferrari's passionate fans watched from a bridge as he took the car around the track, with Hamilton describing their enthusiasm as "awe-inspiring."

 

The fans are hopeful that Hamilton can end an 18-year title drought for Ferrari, with Mercedes and Red Bull dominating the sport in recent years.

 

Reflecting on the moment, Hamilton recalled the excitement of his very first Formula One test and how driving the Ferrari car brought back those same emotions.

 

Despite finishing seventh in the 2024 world championship, 214 points behind Max Verstappen, Hamilton remains driven by the pursuit of another championship.

 

He is set to unveil Ferrari's 2025 car alongside teammate Charles Leclerc at Maranello on February 19, followed by testing in Bahrain the following week.
