Returning to the Red Bull stable with Formula One's newest team, now rebranded as Visa Cash App RB, feels like a homecoming for Daniel Ricciardo, who considers the team and its family atmosphere where he truly belongs.

 

Having won seven races during his previous stint with Red Bull from 2014 to 2018, Ricciardo spent last year with the Red Bull-owned AlphaTauri team. Now, speculation arises about the Australian driver potentially replacing Sergio Perez alongside world champion Max Verstappen in 2025.

 

Expressing his comfort and enthusiasm about being back with Red Bull, Ricciardo acknowledges that a year ago, uncertainties loomed over his Formula One career. However, now with the renewed sense of belonging, he embraces the opportunity, emphasizing that there was no guarantee he would be offered a seat again.

 

Visa Cash App RB, the newly rebranded team, unveiled its updated identity with a flashy livery launch during Super Bowl week, signaling fresh ambitions for Ricciardo and his Japanese teammate Yuki Tsunoda. Ricciardo sees this as a pivotal year for the team, envisioning it to no longer be perceived as just a Red Bull junior team but as a competitive force capable of making significant progress up the grid.

 

As the F1 world anticipates the season opener in Bahrain, notable developments include Lewis Hamilton's unexpected move to Ferrari in 2025 and an ongoing investigation into Red Bull principal Christian Horner.

 

While Ricciardo maintains a close relationship with Horner, he refrains from commenting on the investigation. Regarding Hamilton's move to Ferrari, Ricciardo admits it wasn't the concept that surprised him but rather the timing, expressing understanding at the sight of the seven-time world champion in Ferrari's iconic red.
