Andretti Global Extends Contract with Kyle Kirkwood Through 2026

Posted : 04 November 2025

Andretti Global confirmed on Monday that it has reached a multi-year contract extension with NTT IndyCar Series driver Kyle Kirkwood, keeping him with the team through 2026 and beyond. The exact length and financial details of the deal were not disclosed.

Kirkwood, 27, has become one of Andretti’s standout performers since joining the team in 2023. Driving the No. 27 Honda, he has recorded five career wins and six podium finishes, establishing himself as a key figure in Andretti’s pursuit of championship success.

“Kyle represents exactly what we strive for across TWG Motorsports and Andretti Global,” said Jill Gregory, president of Andretti Global. “His success and mindset make him an integral part of our IndyCar programme — defined by talent, determination, and an unrelenting drive to win. His growth mirrors our organisation’s strength and our ongoing commitment to developing world-class competitors both on and off the track.”

Kirkwood’s 2025 season marked a major leap forward in his career. He captured Grand Prix victories in Long Beach, Detroit, and Illinois, finishing fourth overall in the championship standings. His consistency and aggressive racecraft cemented his status as a legitimate title contender.

Reflecting on the extension, Kirkwood expressed enthusiasm for the team’s direction. “We’ve had an amazing three years together, and our future looks incredibly bright,” he said. “We’ve shown we can compete for wins and championships. With our new facilities, leadership, and talented teammates, this team has evolved into an absolute powerhouse. I’m confident we’ll be fighting at the top for years to come.”

Kirkwood will continue to race alongside two-time IndyCar champion Will Power and 2022 Indianapolis 500 winner Marcus Ericsson as part of Andretti’s formidable 2026 line-up.
