Transfers of July 22: Villa paid €55 million for star; Saudi government offers €400 million for Mbappe; Leverkusen buys Boniface

Aston Villa has officially signed the promising 24-year-old winger, Moussa Diaby, from Leverkusen for approximately 55 million euros. Bayer Leverkusen, on the other hand, acquired 22-year-old Nigerian striker Victor Boniface from Belgian club Union Saint-Gilloise for 20 million euros, with an option for another 7.5 million euros.
Fiorentina has loaned Brazilian midfielder Arthur for one season after his unsuccessful stint at Juventus and a brief loan spell at Liverpool. Samuel Umtiti, released from Barcelona, has returned to France to sign for Lille after a loan spell at Elche last season.
Lazio announced the acquisition of striker Tati Castianos for 15 million euros, who previously belonged to New York City in MLS and scored a quadruple against Real Madrid while on loan at Girona. Nottingham Forest secured the signing of right-back Ole Ayana from Torino on a free transfer, and Girona paid Villarreal 2 million euros to make Ivan Martin's loan deal permanent.
Riccardo Saponara left Fiorentina to join Verona, and there have been reports of a lucrative offer from the Saudi government to Kylian Mbappe, offering a 400 million euro salary to sign for Al Hilal and subsequently move to Real Madrid. PSG is willing to negotiate with other teams, including Real Madrid, but Mbappe is set on joining the Spanish club.
Arsenal is showing interest in Aston Villa midfielder Douglas Luiz once again, while Calvin Bassey is expected to return to the British Isles, with Fulham paying 21 million euros for the defender. Paris Saint-Germain has submitted a 12 million euro bid for Yassine Bounou, the goalkeeper of Sevilla and Morocco. If Bounou arrives, Hoffenheim's Oliver Baumann is a candidate to replace him at Sevilla.
