Thierry Henry Resigns as French Under-21 Coach After Olympic Final Loss

Thierry Henry has resigned as the coach of the French Under-21 national soccer team, according to an announcement by the French Football Federation (FFF) on Monday. The decision comes shortly after Henry's team was defeated by Spain in the Olympic final.

 

In a statement, the FFF revealed that Henry stepped down due to personal reasons, terminating his contract that was originally set to extend until June 2025. Despite the recent setback, Henry received praise for his team's performances during the Olympics.

 

Henry, who was a key figure in France's 1998 World Cup victory and is the nation's second all-time leading scorer, was recognized for his contributions and leadership throughout his tenure with the Under-21 squad.
