Super Eagles star reveals failed ₦7.5 billion West Ham transfer

Super Eagles defender Ola Aina has shared the details of his failed transfer to West Ham last summer, revealing that despite being linked to various clubs, no concrete offers were made until the deadline day.
Aina, whose contract with Torino was entering its final year, believed that West Ham's offer of €8.6 million (equivalent to ₦7.5 billion) would be accepted, but Torino insisted on a higher price of ten million euros.
Although tempted to push for the move, Aina decided against it due to Torino's scheduled game against Atalanta on September 1.
Unfortunately, his decision was followed by a disappointing performance, including conceding a penalty in the first half, which led to Torino's substitution of him at halftime.
Aina shared his perspective on The Beautiful Game podcast, expressing his surprise at Torino's stance and confirming that there are several clubs in Italy and England interested in signing him as a free agent, but his priority is to return to the Premier League.
