Tensions between Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint-Germain are escalating, as six players, including two new signings, reportedly expressed their discontent to club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi regarding Mbappe's recent comments.
In an interview conducted on June 12 but yet to be published, Mbappe stated that playing for PSG doesn't help his chances of winning the Ballon d'Or due to a divided team and club, generating gossip. These remarks were considered insulting by one of the players, while Al-Khelaifi was shocked and questioned why Mbappe doesn't leave if he feels that way.
Mbappe has already made it clear to PSG that he has no intention of extending his contract beyond its expiration in 2024. PSG has set a deadline of July 31 for him to make a decision, as they do not want to risk losing him on a free transfer. Interestingly, Mbappe is absent from PSG's official poster for an upcoming match against Al Nassr, raising further speculation about his future.
On a different note, PSG has made their fourth summer signing by acquiring Korean midfielder Kang In Lee from Mallorca for €22 million. The 22-year-old will sign a five-year contract with the club. PSG's other signings this summer include Achraf Hakimi from Inter Milan, Marco Asensio from Real Madrid, and Manuel Ugarte from Sporting Lisbon.
