Simone Inzaghi Renews Push for Osimhen as Al Hilal Tables €160m Mega Deal

Newly appointed Al Hilal head coach, Simone Inzaghi, has reportedly reignited talks with Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, in a renewed effort to bring the Napoli forward to Saudi Arabia.

According to multiple sources, Inzaghi has personally reached out to Osimhen in recent days, as the Riyadh-based giants prepare to launch a record-breaking move for the 25-year-old. The latest proposal includes a full activation of Osimhen’s €75 million release clause from Napoli, coupled with a contract that would see the striker earn an annual net salary of €30–35 million — bringing the total value of the package close to €160 million.

Osimhen, who is currently spending the summer in Lagos, has long been a target for Al Hilal. However, the Super Eagles star has remained hesitant about a move outside Europe, expressing a strong desire to continue playing in the UEFA Champions League. The striker recently completed a prolific season, and clubs across Europe — including Galatasaray and Juventus — are reportedly monitoring his situation.

Despite the lucrative nature of Al Hilal’s proposal, Osimhen’s camp has not yet given a definitive response. The Saudi club, now led by the former Inter Milan manager, is keen to wrap up the deal ahead of their campaign in the FIFA Club World Cup, scheduled to kick off in the United States.

As it stands, Al Hilal is confident their improved offer could sway the forward, but Osimhen’s European ambitions may still be the deciding factor in what is shaping up to be one of the summer’s most high-profile transfer sagas.
