Shocking: Court reveals Mendy's claim: 10,000 women conquered

Posted : 30 June 2023
Manchester City footballer Benjamin Mendy, 28, is currently on trial at Chester Crown Court, facing charges of rape and attempted rape.

The court recently heard disturbing details of the allegations against him.

According to reports from the BBC, Mendy is accused of raping a 24-year-old woman in October 2020 at his luxurious £4 million mansion in Mottram St Andrew, Cheshire.

Shockingly, it is claimed that after the assault, Mendy callously told the victim, "It's fine, I've had sex with 10,000 women."

In addition to this horrifying incident, Mendy is also accused of attempting to rape another woman, who was 29 at the time, two years prior to the first alleged assault.

The second victim has provided her testimony, claiming that she too was attacked by Mendy at his home.

The trial proceedings have revealed that Mendy denies both charges against him.

The jury, consisting of six women and six men, has been instructed by the trial Judge, Stephen Everett, the Recorder of Chester, not to reference previous trials or media coverage.

They are expected to base their verdict solely on the evidence presented in court during this retrial.

It is worth noting that Mendy has previously been acquitted of sexual offences following a trial that concluded in January of this year.

However, the jury in that case was unable to reach verdicts on the current charges of rape and attempted rape, necessitating a retrial.

During the opening statements, Benjamin Aina KC, representing the prosecution, described Mendy as a footballer contracted to Manchester City FC who frequently hosted parties and social gatherings at his residence, The Spinney, in Cheshire.

Aina alleged that on two separate occasions, Mendy took advantage of female guests in a predatory manner.

He claimed that Mendy attempted to forcibly engage in sexual activity with one woman (referred to as woman A) and raped another woman (referred to as woman B) in one of the bedrooms at his house.

The court heard that Mendy first encountered woman A, a UK student, at a nightclub in Barcelona in late 2017.

They remained in contact, and a year later, she visited Mendy's home along with his friend and other girls after a night out.

Disturbingly, the morning after their stay, Mendy allegedly entered the ensuite bathroom uninvited while woman A was showering, wearing only boxer shorts and displaying sexual arousal.

The prosecution asserts that Mendy then proceeded to forcibly assault the woman on the bed despite her pleas to stop.

Regarding woman B, she claims that she and her friends were invited to Mendy's house after a night at a bar near his residence.

It is alleged that Mendy took hold of her phone, which contained intimate photos, and led her to his locked bedroom when she asked for it back.

Aina stated that Mendy instructed woman B to undress while he observed her, and then he proceeded to rape her from behind despite her clear refusal.

According to the prosecutor, during the second assault, Mendy callously remarked, "You're too shy... It's fine. I've had sex with 10,000 women."

Mendy maintains his innocence, asserting that any sexual encounters were consensual.

The trial continues as the court weighs the evidence and testimonies presented by both the prosecution and the defense.
