Roma's Evan Ndicka endured a collapsed lung during Sunday's Serie A clash against Udinese, leading to the game's abandonment as he was stretchered off in the 72nd minute.
Manager Daniele de Rossi confirmed Ndicka's discharge from the hospital on Monday, relieved that the tests showed no signs of cardiac issues despite the severity of the injury.
The 24-year-old Ivorian, who transferred to Roma from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023, has made 19 appearances in Serie A this season. Despite the distressing incident, Ndicka is fortunate that his condition was not as dire as initially feared.
In response to the scare, Roma is planning to provide complimentary heart screenings for fans aged 45 and above at a local medical facility before their upcoming home fixture against Bologna on April 22.
