Real Madrid's Carlo Ancelotti praises squad's completeness without Kylian Mbappé

Following Real Madrid's 2-0 friendly win over Manchester United in Houston, manager Carlo Ancelotti reaffirmed his satisfaction with the current squad, stating that it is already "complete" even without the potential addition of Kylian Mbappé.

The recent €103 million signing, Jude Bellingham, opened the scoring with a composed finish, while another summer acquisition, Joselu, scored a spectacular overhead kick for the second goal.
 
Despite ongoing rumors linking Madrid with Mbappé, Ancelotti reiterated his confidence in the current squad and its quality. When asked specifically about the French star, he kept his response brief, saying, "Next question."
 
Madrid's victory over United marked their second preseason win in the United States, following a 3-2 comeback triumph against AC Milan. The club has made several signings this summer, including Bellingham, Joselu, Arda Guler, Fran Garcia, and Brahim Diaz.
 
With only Joselu as the natural center forward currently available, Ancelotti has been experimenting with a 4-4-2 formation, featuring Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes as the front two. He praised Vinicius's adaptability to play inside and emphasized the attacking threat posed by both Vinicius and Rodrygo.
 
Meanwhile, Mbappé continues training with PSG's reserves amid ongoing contract negotiations and speculations about his future. PSG is seeking to secure his future at the club or facilitate a transfer before he potentially leaves as a free agent.
 
Real Madrid will face Barcelona in Arlington, Texas, and Juventus in Orlando, Florida, before returning to Spain for the new LaLiga season. Barcelona midfielder Ilkay Gündogan expressed excitement about the prospect of facing Mbappé in Clásicos, highlighting the intense competition and the joy of playing against top-quality players.
