Plateau United FC's Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu on Monday penned an emotional farewell message to Plateau United and its passionate fans after he left his role as Technical Adviser of the club.
Ilechukwu who guided Plateau United to CAF Champions League qualification in his first season, said his goodbye to the club after two seasons in charge.
The "Working One" on Monday described his journey with Plateau United FC as amazing.
"It has been an amazing journey with Plateau United, a football club I hold in high esteem, and its passionate fans I regard as family.
"It was another learning experience as the club made coaching fun for me and my assistants, the reason behind the successes and good results recorded in the last two seasons.
"My special appreciation goes to the club’s immediate past General Manager, Pius Henwan, the Technical Director, Ahmed Ibrahim aka Coach Bros, Chairman Plateau State Football Association, Sunday Longbap, the first and second Commissioner for Sports and Youth Development in the last government, Honourable Victor Lapan and Honourable Dung Daniel Dalyop and Chairman Plateau United Football Club Supporters Club, Mallam Audu Shehu.
"Not forgetting my dependable assistant coaches/backroom staff, my gallant players, and of course, my ever-supportive fans on the Plateau, thank you so much for accepting me and also for the experience of being a member of your big family.
"It's been a pleasure and an honor to be in the dugout with Plateau United, as I made the right choice when I joined the club from Heartland FC.
"As I bid farewell at this stage of my career, I'm also very excited to leave the club in great hands. Thanks and good luck for the future.
"However, I take with me wonderful and unforgettable memories, as I'm delighted with this stage of my career, and I'm also very excited with the next to begin," he concluded.
