Osimhen to contest the prestigious Ghana Football Awards

Victor Osimhen, the talented Nigerian striker, has been recognized for his exceptional performance alongside renowned football stars Mohamed Salah and Riyad Mahrez, as they have all been nominated for the highly anticipated Ghana Football Awards. 

The official Twitter handle of the Ghana Football Awards proudly announced the inclusion of these three outstanding players in the esteemed Best African International category. 

Osimhen's remarkable contributions played a pivotal role in Napoli's triumphant victory, securing the Serie A title for the club in the 2022/23 season, a historic achievement marking their first title since 1990. 

Demonstrating his extraordinary skill and prowess, Osimhen notched an impressive 26 goals in the Italian topflight, becoming the first African player ever to achieve this remarkable feat. 

Moreover, his outstanding performances on the pitch earned him the prestigious title of Serie A Best Striker for the recently concluded campaign. 

On the other hand, the Algerian national team captain, Riyad Mahrez, stands on the verge of securing an impressive treble with his club Manchester City, having made significant contributions with 15 goals and 13 assists in 47 appearances across various competitions, guiding the team to clinch the Premier League and FA Cup titles. 

Similarly, Mohamed Salah, the revered Egyptian football star, showcased his exceptional talent by netting an impressive tally of 30 goals and providing 16 assists in 51 matches for his club Liverpool. 

The stage is now set for an exhilarating battle among these exceptional players as they vie for recognition and the coveted honor at the Ghana Football Awards.
