Osimhen Still Chelsea Option, But Could Spark Transfer Domino Effect

Chelsea remain strongly interested in Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen, despite fierce competition from other top European clubs. The 25-year-old Napoli forward is one of the most sought-after names in the summer transfer window, but any potential move could trigger a chain reaction across the continent’s elite teams.

The Blues view Osimhen as a solution to their ongoing goal-scoring problems and are reportedly exploring flexible options to secure his services, including a potential loan-to-buy arrangement that would help them manage their wage bill. However, Napoli are firm on their valuation and are insisting on his £115 million release clause. Osimhen’s wage demands, reportedly around £200,000 per week, may prove to be a stumbling block for clubs that are not participating in next season’s UEFA Champions League. This could narrow the pool of realistic contenders.
