Sources have informed reported that Nottingham Forest's appeal against a four-point deduction has been unsuccessful.
The Premier League club received the penalty in March for breaching Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR), leading to their current position in a relegation battle, standing on 29 points, just three points ahead of 18th-placed Luton, with both teams having only two games remaining.
Despite Forest expressing extreme disappointment with the initial decision and subsequently appealing it, an independent commission has upheld the four-point deduction.
This outcome intensifies the pressure on Forest as they strive to secure their Premier League status in the remaining matches of the season, highlighting the significant implications of financial regulations in professional football.
