NHL Division One: Nasarawa Ambassadors advance to semi-finals

The National Division One Handball League debutants, Nasarawa Ambassadors (male), have qualified for the Semi-Finals of the ongoing competition holding at the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium, Benin City, Edo State.

To achieve this feat, they defeated hard-fighting  Team Cross-River by 29-26 points in their last Group B match as they finished in second position with nine points from four games, behind table-topping Team COAS who have twelve points from same number of games.

The Nasarawa Ambassadors are meeting Group A table-toppers, Team Sunshine of Ondo State on Thursday, July 27.

In the meantime, Permanent Secretary of the Nasarawa State Ministry of Youth and Sports Development, Chief Barr. Isaac Danladi, has congratulated the Nasarawa Ambassadors for picking one of the Semi-Finals tickets.

He disclosed that both the Governor, Engr. Abdullahi Sule, and the entire State are solidly behind them and are praying for them to end the National Handball League as Champions and by inference qualify for the National Handball Premiership.
