Messi decides to join Inter Miami CF in MLS

Lionel Messi is excited to embark on the next phase of his career in Major League Soccer (MLS) with Inter Miami CF, after his desired return to Barcelona did not materialize.
 
The 35-year-old football star announced his decision to join Inter Miami once his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ends on June 30. Messi expressed his readiness and eagerness to face the challenge that awaits him in the United States.
 
Despite offers to return to Barcelona and a possible move to Saudi Arabian club Al Hilal, Messi ultimately chose to join co-owner David Beckham's Inter Miami in MLS.
 
He sees this decision as an important step and is content with the choice he has made. Messi is looking forward to embracing the new opportunity and is happy with the direction his career is taking.
 
Recently, Messi scored the quickest goal of his international career, finding the net after just 79 seconds in Argentina's friendly match against Australia, which they won 2-0. He mentioned that had Argentina not won the 2022 World Cup, he would no longer be playing for the national team.

However, his desire to leave as a world champion motivated him to continue representing his country.

Messi experienced difficult moments in previous finals but finally tasted success when Argentina won the Copa America in 2021, ending their 28-year title drought.
 
Messi expressed that winning major titles with the national team was always a goal he wanted to achieve. Despite his individual and club success, the absence of a major international trophy would have left him feeling incomplete.
