Manchester City seek final deal for Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol before Arsenal match

Manchester City is eager to finalize a deal for RB Leipzig's Josko Gvardiol before their Community Shield match against Arsenal this Sunday, as per reports from sources.

The pursuit of the Croatian defender has been ongoing for several months, and talks have intensified as City aims to secure Pep Guardiola's top defensive target.
 
Encouragement for an agreement between the two clubs surfaced on Tuesday, with Red Bull's Oliver Mintzlaff, overseeing the sporting partnerships, leading the negotiations.

The potential fee for Gvardiol, one of Europe's most highly-regarded young central defenders, is expected to be below Leipzig's initial valuation of £86 million.
