LSFA Imposes Life Ban on Osondu Martins

The Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), following an emergency online congress, has unanimously imposed a life ban on the embattled and sacked Badagry Divisional Football Association (BDFA) Chairman, Osondu Martins, citing a range of fraudulent activities, gross misconduct, and abuse of office.

 

A communique signed by LSFA Secretary Mrs. Vera Hycient Okechukwu stated:

  1. The Lagos State Football Association expresses gratitude to His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his continuous support toward football development and growth.
  2. The LSFA extends appreciation to the Lagos State Sports Commission for its support of youth and women’s football development.
  3. The Congress has imposed a life ban on Dr. Osondu Martins, the former BDFA Chairman, from all football activities due to fraud, sexual assault, trafficking of minors, and violations of Article 20, subsection 3c, of the 2023 LSFA Statutes as amended.
  4. An indefinite suspension has also been imposed on all members of the Badagry Divisional Football Association from participating in football activities for violating the same section of the statutes.
  5. The Congress approved the appointment of a caretaker committee to manage the affairs of the BDFA pending a bye-election.
