Lobi Stars set to appoint Bala Abubakar as new coach

The talks are ongoing between the representatives of coach Bala Abubakar and the management of the Nigeria Premier League club, Lobi Stars over a contact for the coach to become the next gaffer.

Mohammed Babaganaru managed the Markudi-based side last season, and despite making it to the Super 6, the management of the club believed the team performed below expectations.

The Chairman of the club, Dominic Iorfa, is believed to have opened a formal discussion with the manager ahead of the new season.

Lobi Stars finished last on the log of the Super 6 playoff which was held at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos.

If everything works according to plan, Bala Abubakar is expected to resume as the coach of Lobi Stars on the 1st of July, 2023.
