Lionel Messi to Miss Inter Miami's Match Against Orlando City Due to Knee Injury

Inter Miami's star forward Lionel Messi will be absent from Wednesday night's match against Orlando City due to a left knee injury sustained during the team's recent victory over CF Montreal. Messi, who played the entire match after receiving clearance from medical staff, experienced discomfort while undergoing regenerative exercises on Monday following the game.

 

Despite Messi's absence, Inter Miami remains at the forefront of the Eastern Conference standings with 27 points and an 8-2-3 record, thanks in part to Messi's contributions of 10 goals and 12 assists this season.

 

Assistant coach Javier Morales confirmed Messi's injury, attributing it to a collision during the Montreal game, which prompted Messi to ice his knee immediately after the match and engage in regenerative training sessions to aid his recovery.
