Kylian Mbappé hesitant to extend Paris Saint-Germain contract beyond 2024, considering Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappé is reportedly still unwilling to extend his contract with Paris Saint-Germain beyond 2024, despite threats from club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi. Sources indicate that Mbappé is starting to consider leaving this summer, with Real Madrid being his preferred destination.
Al-Khelaifi's comments have not fazed the PSG forward, as sources suggest that Mbappé remains relaxed about the situation while enjoying a holiday in Cameroon.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, remain hopeful of securing a deal that is estimated to exceed €200 million. However, they want Mbappé or PSG to initiate negotiations before officially making their move.
Madrid's strategy is to maintain a low profile and wait for Mbappé or PSG to make the first move towards a transfer before submitting a definitive offer.
According to sources, Madrid is the only club that Mbappé is interested in joining this summer, and they are the only team capable of affording him.
While there has been no direct contact between the two clubs, Madrid has been in discussions with Mbappé's representatives for some time.
PSG's public remarks about Mbappé's contract situation have put them in a weaker negotiating position, according to sources. Mbappé has never guaranteed PSG that he would not leave as a free agent, but he prefers to depart while the club can still receive a transfer fee to finance a replacement.
Negotiations between PSG and Mbappé have not made any progress thus far. While Mbappé is set to receive a loyalty bonus of €70 million if he stays for another season, Madrid remains confident that it will not hinder their chances of signing him.
