Jude Bellingham: Why moving Real Madrid would complete sense

Posted : 04 May 2023
Real Madrid was known for being "Los Galacticos" for many years, a group of superstars gathered at great expense who provided its trophy-hungry supporters with unrivaled glamor and splendor.

The initiative for the program came from newly appointed president Florentino Perez in 2000. He began his spending binge by making the daring decision to sign Luis Figo, the finest player and a symbol of enduring rivals Barcelona.

Zinedine Zidane, Ronaldo, David Beckham, and Robinho soon followed as Perez proceeded to show off his moneymaking prowess.

Following Perez's return to the presidency in 2009, there was another round of expensive acquisitions. Players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Kaka, Gareth Bale, and James
Rodriguez were among those signed for astronomical sums as Real sought to establish themselves as the ultimate dream club for any superstar with serious ambitions.

However, later something altered, after years of wasting every summer pursuing the greatest stars, Real unexpectedly stopped the Galacticos program and began to concentrate their recruitment efforts on the most talented young people in the globe. The team decided to focus on recruiting the upcoming stars of football rather than the greatest existing players.
