Former U-20 Nigerian striker, Akor Adams, establishes Ligue 1 record with debut brace

Akor Adams made a remarkable impact on his competitive debut for Montpellier in Ligue 1, scoring a second-half brace during their 2-2 draw against Le Havre at the Stade de la Mosson-Mondial 98.
The feat, confirmed by OPTA, saw Adams' two goals come in a mere minute and 42 seconds – the quickest double on a debut in Ligue 1 since OPTA's analysis began in the 2006-2007 season.
After Gautier Lloris gave Le Havre an early lead, Adams equalized for Montpellier in the 58th minute with a header from Teji Savanier's cross.
Less than two minutes later, the former Flying Eagles striker extended his side's lead with an unstoppable shot, assisted by a pass from Kiki Kouyate.
Adams was substituted in the 77th minute for Chelsea-linked striker Elye Wahi. Despite his 60th-minute goal, Montpellier couldn't secure a win, as Samuel Grandsir leveled for Le Havre in the 90th minute.
Adams achieved his goals from 2 shots on target, made 21 touches, and contributed defensively by winning 2 of his 4 ground duels and all his aerial duels.
Montpellier's next match is scheduled for August 19 against Lyon at the Groupama Stadium, which serves as Lyon's home ground.
