Everton winger Demarai Gray has raised concerns about manager Sean Dyche in a recent social media post. Gray had been in discussions regarding a potential move to Fulham, but this transfer did not materialize before the closure of the transfer window. Additionally, the 27-year-old has been linked with Turkish Super Lig outfit Besiktas and clubs in Saudi Arabia.
In an Instagram post, Gray expressed his thoughts, stating, "Everton fans have always been great with me but it's so difficult to play for someone who doesn't show you respect as a person."
Gray, who joined Everton from Bayer Leverkusen for £1.7 million in 2021, has amassed 75 appearances for the club and scored 12 goals. Despite representing Jamaica at the Concacaf Gold Cup over the summer, he has yet to feature for Everton in the current season.
In response to Gray's situation, Dyche commented after his team's 2-2 draw against Sheffield United, explaining, "It was a bit of everything - his fitness, his fitness to play in the side, the situation around him, and all of the noise." Dyche expressed hope that in the coming weeks, Gray's situation would become clearer as he works on regaining his fitness. When asked if he anticipated Gray remaining with the squad, Dyche affirmed that he did at this time.
