Enrique and Campos say Neymar, Verratti, Ekitike, Bernat, Sanchez not included in Paris Saint-Germain's upcoming squad

Posted : 10 August 2023
Enrique and Campos conducted individual meetings with several players, including Neymar, Italian Marco Verratti, Ekitike, Juan Bernat, and Renato Sanchez, to communicate that they are not part of Paris Saint-Germain's plans for the upcoming season.

This reshuffling of the squad follows Lionel Messi's departure and Kylian Mbappé's anticipated exit from the team. French outlet RMC reports that the meetings took place at the training ground, where Luis Enrique and Luis Campos outlined their intentions for the team's future.

In an effort to bring about a significant transformation within PSG's roster, the coaching staff is reportedly considering substantial changes. Specifically, Al Hilal has proposed an offer of €80 million to Neymar for the season, but PSG's demands are higher, seeking €150 million for the Brazilian player.

Meanwhile, it appears that Neymar's potential move to the Saudi club may encounter challenges due to this disparity in valuation. Neymar's father is expected to engage in discussions with Al Hilal's leadership in an attempt to find common ground and facilitate a swift transfer, potentially within the week.

Similarly, Marco Verratti's situation echoes Neymar's, as the Italian player is also engaged in discussions with Al Hilal. The negotiations for Verratti's transfer are at an advanced stage, with a projected transfer fee ranging between €45 million and €50 million.

Juan Bernat's potential return to Spain and Renato Sanchez's possible move to Roma are additional components of PSG's restructuring efforts. Unexpectedly, young striker Hugo Ekitike, who joined the team last summer for €44 million, finds himself facing an uncertain future, as he has not yet had the opportunity to lead Paris Saint-Germain's attack in the post-Messi, Mbappé, and Neymar era.
