Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers marked his competitive home debut for Glasgow Rangers by scoring his first goal for the team in their 2-1 victory over Servette during the UEFA Champions League third qualifying round's first leg at Ibrox on Wednesday.
After James Tavernier's early penalty goal, Dessers doubled the lead in the 15th minute by converting Borna Barišić's cross.
Despite a penalty goal from Chris Bedia for Servette before halftime, Rangers secured the win.
Fellow Super Eagles player Leon Balogun remained on the bench, while Dessers bounced back after a goalless Scottish Premiership opener to earn his debut goal for the team, pleasing coach Micheal Beale ahead of their upcoming game against Livingston.
