Cyriel Dessers Confirms Interest from Olympiacos, AEK Athens Amid Potential Rangers Exit

Super Eagles striker Cyriel Dessers has confirmed receiving interest from Greek Super League giants Olympiacos and AEK Athens, signaling a possible departure from Glasgow Rangers during the upcoming summer transfer window.

Dessers, who joined Rangers from Italian side Cremonese in July 2023 for a reported £4.5 million, has experienced a mixed tenure at Ibrox. Despite a challenging start, he has found form in his second season, netting 28 goals in 54 appearances across all competitions, making him the current top scorer in the Scottish Premiership with 17 goals 

The 30-year-old Nigerian international's performances have attracted attention from several European clubs. Notably, AEK Athens have expressed strong interest, with reports suggesting they have made him a major summer target. Olympiacos are also reportedly monitoring his situation closely.

Rangers are reportedly open to listening to substantial offers for Dessers, as the club considers reshaping its attacking options. With two years remaining on his contract, the Scottish side may view this summer as an opportune moment to recoup part of their investment.
