Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al Nassr striker, stated that he has no intentions of playing in the United States or returning to a European team, asserting that the Saudi Pro League is superior to MLS.
After playing the first half of Al Nassr's 5-0 preseason loss to Celta Vigo in Portugal, Ronaldo expressed his preference for the Saudi league over the American competition and shared his belief that more top players will join the league in the future.
Having already attracted several high-profile players to the Saudi Pro League this summer, including Karim Benzema, Marcelo Brozovic, N'Golo Kante, and Roberto Firmino, Ronaldo believes the league's reputation will continue to grow, surpassing other European leagues like the Turkish and Dutch leagues in the coming year.
Ronaldo's commitment to Al Nassr comes after joining the club in January, and he is heading into his first full season with the Saudi team.
The 38-year-old forward also mentioned that his days of playing in Europe are over, emphasizing that the quality of play in European football has declined in recent years, with the Premier League being the only league he views as still maintaining a high standard.
While speaking about his playing time in the preseason, Ronaldo indicated that he will continue to adjust his minutes to reach peak performance, expecting to play more minutes in their upcoming friendly match against Benfica after his 45-minute appearance against Celta Vigo.
