Barca's Copa del Rey semifinal win keeps double hopes alive

At the Santiago Bernabeu on Thursday, Barcelona defeated Real Madrid 1-0 in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semifinal due to an own goal by Eder Militao.
Prior to Barca taking the lead in the 26th minute, Karim Benzema's goal was disallowed for straying offside in order to receive Vinicius Junior's pass.

Ferran Torres found midfielder Franck Kessie, whose shot was saved by Thibaut Courtois, and the ball struck the goal after rebounding off defender Militao.

Vinicius had a shot deflected wide after the interval, and Dani Carvajal lost a fantastic opportunity to tie the score before halftime by volleying over the bar. When Ansu Fati, a replacement, blocked Kessie's goal-bound drive later, Barca were unfortunate not to score a second.
