Arsenal to Wear Away Kit in North London Derby Due to Colour Clash

Arsenal will don their away kit for the upcoming north London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday, as their red-and-white home kit contains too much white, which clashes with Tottenham's colors. This decision comes after the referees' body PGMOL and the Premier League determined that Arsenal's 2024-25 home kit would create a conflict with Spurs' traditional colors.

 

Historically, both Arsenal and Tottenham have worn their home kits for this fixture, but British media reports indicate that Arsenal last used their away kit in this matchup 38 years ago. The change for this season ensures that both teams avoid any color clashes during their encounters.

 

Arsenal, currently in fourth place, will wear their black away kit for the match, while Tottenham, positioned 10th in the league, will also wear an alternative kit when they visit Arsenal in January.
