2022/2023 NPFL Super 6: Enyimba Int'l FC Coach blames stalemated match against Remo Stars on floppy defence

The Coach of Enyimba International FC of Aba, Finidi George has blamed his side's 2-2 draw against Remo Stars on floppy defence.
 
Africa Sport Network (ASN) reports that Enyimba FC twice threw away a goal lead which allowed Remo Stars draw level in the four-goal thriller match.
 
Adiele Eriugo produced a classy touch to give the Peoples Elephant the lead off a clever assist by Obioma in the 60th minute, while Remo Stars Junior Lokosa drew level.
 
Enyimba FC restored the lead in the in the 79th minute as Obioma converted from the spot.
 
It was the turn of Daniel Ogunmodede-led team in the last gap of extra minutes as Nduka with a spectacular effort drew level for Remo Stars with a brilliant goal to end the tightly contested match in a 2-2 stalemate.
 
Enyimba FC Coach, George said they could have defended better against Remo Stars.
 
George believed the team could have done better defensively.
 
“It was an open game, we had a few chances to win but they came back and equalized.
 
“It’s just a matter of concentration because if you look at the goals we conceded, I think they were give ‘aways’.
 
“We could have defended better on goal,” George Finidi said.
