The Chief Tactician of defending champions of Nigeria's Premier Football League (NPFL), Enyimba International FC, Finidi George, has declared a determined approach to the 2023/2024 NPFL match day 31 against Sunshine Stars of Akure.

The soft-spoken coach of the Peoples Elephant, speaking on the team's mentality ahead of the crucial encounter, said the team wanted nothing but the maximum points at stake.

The Aba Warlords travel to Akure as the guests of Sunshine Stars in match day 31 of the league, and the assistant coach of the Super Eagles is already dreaming of victory.

Finidi George stated that the team was aware of what is at stake on Sunday and would approach the match with all seriousness.

"We want to win by playing good football," he said.

A win for Enyimba will see them level on points with the leader Rangers International and strengthen their chance of retaining their title.

However, the Owena Whales will not lie low either, given their unfortunate 0-1 loss to Sporting Lagos FC in the all-southwest affair in Match Day 30.

Speaking ahead of the match, Sunshine Stars FC coach, Kennedy Boboye, said he was anxiously looking forward to facing a team he knows well how to beat.

"I know the team very well, and we will adequately prepare for them ahead," he said.
