Wikki Tourists of Bauchi have announced three key signings as part of their efforts to strengthen the team ahead of the resumption of the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season. The club made the announcement on Monday as preparations intensify for the second stanza of the campaign.
The Bauchi Elephants are eager to secure a respectable finish in their return to the elite league after spending several seasons in the lower division. Club management has stepped up recruitment to ensure the squad is competitive and capable of meeting expectations in the second half of the season.
Leading the list of new arrivals is the return of attacking midfielder Abubakar Aliyu, fondly known as “Korea.” Aliyu rejoins Wikki Tourists for a second spell after a brief spell away, bringing added experience, creativity, and vision from his time at Nasarawa United.
Wikki Tourists have also secured the services of Obed Ponkap. The pacey winger arrives from Barau FC and is expected to add speed, width, and attacking threat down the flanks with his energy and creativity.
Completing the trio is forward Ibrahim Shuaibu, who joins from Remo Stars FC. The talented attacker is expected to boost the team’s offensive options, bringing strength, determination, and goal-scoring ability to the Bauchi Elephants’ attack.
With these additions, Wikki Tourists hope to improve their fortunes and mount a strong challenge in the second stanza of the 2025/2026 NPFL season.
