The battle for survival in the 2025/2026 Nigeria Premier Football League intensifies on Match Day 29 as Wikki Tourists FC prepare for a crucial Northern derby against El-Kanemi Warriors FC in Jos.

Speaking during the team’s shake-up training session at the New Jos Stadium, Ogenyi stressed that his side must approach the derby with determination, discipline, and the right tactical mindset.

“Let’s maintain total focus, win tomorrow, and celebrate later,” Ogenyi told the players during the training session.

The coach further emphasized that every player must give his best on the pitch, noting that commitment and concentration will be key to overcoming their opponents.

Sunday’s clash will also serve as Ogenyi’s first major test since taking charge of Wikki Tourists, and a positive result could provide the much-needed momentum for the team as they continue their battle to climb away from the danger zone.
