Wikki Tourists Boss Promises Cash Incentives to Secure Vital Away Win Against Bayelsa United

Wikki Tourists FC Chairman Salmanu Abubakar has introduced a strategic financial incentive package to motivate his squad. The Bauchi Elephants face a high-stakes encounter against Bayelsa United at the Samson Siasia Stadium this Sunday. This move comes as the club battles to escape the relegation zone in the Nigeria Premier Football League.

The chairman has structured the rewards to encourage both offensive and defensive excellence. Any player who finds the back of the net during the match will receive 100,000 naira. Furthermore, a special bonus of 300,000 naira has been pledged for the individual who scores the match-winning goal.

Defensive contributions are also being recognized in this emergency funding plan. Abubakar promised 100,000 naira to any goalkeeper who manages to keep a clean sheet against the Prosperity Boys. These incentives are designed to ensure the players maintain focus for the entire 90 minutes.

The club boss emphasized that the package aims to push the players to give their maximum effort. He stated that the team must fight for all three points to improve their standing. Wikki Tourists currently find themselves in a precarious position near the bottom of the table.

Entering Matchday 34, the Bauchi-based side occupies 19th position with only 37 points. The team is under immense pressure to avoid defeat in Yenagoa to keep their survival hopes alive. A loss could see them drift further away from safety as the season reaches its climax.
