West Ham Join Race to Sign Super Eagles Winger Femi Azeez from Millwall

West Ham United have emerged as the latest club interested in signing Super Eagles winger Femi Azeez from Millwall as competition for the Nigerian international continues to grow ahead of the new season.

Azeez enjoyed a superb 2025/26 campaign with the Lions, scoring 11 goals and providing eight assists as Millwall reached the Championship play-off semi-finals. His impressive performances earned him a place in the PFA Championship Team of the Season and established him as one of the division's most exciting attacking players.

Despite Millwall's impressive season, their hopes of securing promotion to the Premier League ended with a play-off defeat to Hull City. That setback has intensified speculation over Azeez's future, with several clubs now monitoring his situation ahead of the transfer deadline.

The 25-year-old also enjoyed a dream start to his international career with Nigeria. After receiving his first Super Eagles call-up, Azeez scored twice on his debut in a 2-0 victory over Zimbabwe in the Unity Cup semi-final before playing his part in Nigeria's 3-0 win over Jamaica in the final as the Super Eagles lifted a fourth consecutive Unity Cup title.

According to reports, West Ham have now joined Aston Villa and Hull City in the race to sign the winger this summer. The Championship club are looking to strengthen their attacking options following the departure of Dutch international Crysencio Summerville, who recently completed a permanent move to Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal.

Having suffered relegation from the Premier League last season, West Ham are rebuilding their squad with the aim of securing an immediate return to the top flight. Azeez's pace, creativity and versatility across the forward line have reportedly made him one of the club's preferred targets as they reshape their attack.

Aston Villa remain interested in the Nigerian after monitoring his progress throughout last season, while Hull City are also believed to be keen on adding the winger following their promotion ambitions.

Millwall are reportedly unwilling to lose one of their key players cheaply and have placed a valuation of around £30 million on Azeez. That price reflects both his outstanding performances last season and his long-term potential.

With several clubs now tracking his situation, the coming weeks could prove decisive for Azeez's future. A move to either West Ham or Aston Villa would give the Super Eagles forward the opportunity to continue his development at a higher level, while Millwall face an increasingly difficult task in keeping hold of one of their brightest stars.
