Nigeria and six other West African nations will battle for supremacy when the WAFU B U-17 AFCON Qualifiers kick off in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso, this week, BSNSports.com.ng reports.

The competition is scheduled to hold from October 10 to 23, with seven countries competing for the region’s opportunity to advance to the continental stage.

Hosts Burkina Faso will be joined by Nigeria, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Benin, Niger, and Togo in the race for the coveted qualification ticket.

The participating nations will be aiming to produce strong performances as they seek to secure a place at the next Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.

With the tournament set to begin on Friday, October 10, all seven teams are expected to intensify preparations ahead of the regional showdown.

The qualifiers will run until October 23 in Ouagadougou, with the eventual winner earning the opportunity to represent the zone on the continental stage.
